A 40-Day Return to Center Nabhi Kriya

Hello friend,

Once again, it has been some time since I shared. I’ve been, you could say, healing/hibernating for the last 10 months, peaking my head out here and there. This time of year always pulls me inward. The air is colder, the days shorter, and there’s a quiet honesty woven into the season that asks me to slow down and check in with myself.

Not in a pressured way — in a grounding, supportive, deeply human way.

Over the last ten months of healing, my practice has lived mostly inside me: mantra, mudra, meditation, and subtle breathwork. Earlier this week, I shifted and started my own 40 days of Nabhi Kriya paired with Celestial Communication Meditation, and the combination has been deeply supportive. This personal journey inspired me to open a communal space for December.

So beginning December 1st, I’ll be offering a gentle, grounding practice space on Substack — something approachable, affordable, and adaptable for the season.

I’d love to share both practices with you — and invite you in if you feel the pull.

What Is Celestial Communication?

Celestial Communication is a moving meditation: choreographed arm and hand gestures synchronized with mantras or spiritual music. Unlike many forms of meditation, there are no fixed movements. A teacher or practitioner can create their own, letting the heart guide the body - I have a specific one, that I love and will be sharing.

Benefits of Celestial Communication

This practice works on the upper triangle — the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th chakras — while gently opening the heart, strengthening the aura, and uplifting the subtle and radiant bodies.

  • It increases prana and clears energetic stagnation.

  • It relieves deep mental stress and relaxes the brain.

  • It dissolves anxiety and awakens creativity.

  • It harmonizes body, mind, and spirit.

  • It reconnects you with innocence, intuition, and flow.

To me, it feels like moving prayer — playful, expansive, creative, and deeply soothing.

What Is Nabhi Kriya, and Why Now?

Nabhi Kriya is a core-centred Kundalini practice that strengthens the navel center (Manipura) — the home of willpower, direction, digestion (physical + emotional), clarity, and the ability to follow through.

It can be challenging, especially at first.
But it’s also adaptable.

You can move slowly, stay gentle, listen to your body, and still build incredible inner heat. I personally love doing it first thing in the morning when my mind is too sleepy to interfere.

As the season cools and our energy naturally fluctuates, Nabhi Kriya becomes a steady internal flame. It helps you:

  • Rebuild inner vitality

  • Support digestion + metabolism

  • Cultivate emotional steadiness

  • Reconnect with your personal power

  • Clear out stagnant energy from the year

  • Strengthen your center in a time that often feels ungrounding

This is the point in the year when many people feel stretched thin, depleted, or scattered. Nabhi Kriya counterbalances that beautifully — warming the body, stabilizing the mind, and creating space for clarity to return.

The Energy From Now Through December

Even though the Scorpio New Moon has passed, its themes — renewal, honesty, and transformation — continue to unfold through late fall.

Personally, I’ve been feeling:

  • A desire to simplify

  • The need to ground

  • Emotional shedding

  • A pull back to ritual

  • The sense of preparing for a new chapter

This is nature’s rhythm.
The trees release.
The earth quiets.
And my system craves warmth, structure, and inner anchoring.

A 40-day practice always gives me exactly that.

Why 40 Days?

In the yogic tradition, 40 days is considered a complete cycle of transformation — long enough to create new neural pathways, shift emotional patterns, and rewrite internal habits.

A consistent 40-day practice helps you:

  • rebuild self-trust

  • strengthen discipline in a gentle, grounded way

  • soothe the nervous system with repetition

  • move emotional energy stored in the belly

  • create inner direction moving into winter and year-end

It’s a seasonal recalibration.
A way to reset before stepping into winter.
A way to gather energy before the holidays.
A way to reclaim your inner fire.
