When Your Energy Speaks Before Your Words: Understanding the Radiant Body

The Presence You Can Feel

Have you ever been around someone whose presence you could feel the moment they entered a room, even before they spoke or did anything remarkable? There is a quality that fills the space, a steady confidence or aliveness that draws your attention without effort. You may not even be able to explain exactly what it is, yet something about their energy feels strong, grounded, and unmistakably alive.

In yogic teachings, this quality is called the Radiant Body, which is considered the tenth body in the Kundalini Yoga system. It refers to the energetic field that projects outward from you, the presence that surrounds you and communicates far more than words ever could. Your radiant body reflects the clarity of your mind, the steadiness of your nervous system, and the strength of your inner alignment. When it is strong, people feel it before you even speak because your energy naturally carries a sense of confidence, integrity, and presence.

A Modern Example of a Magnetic Presence

A recent example of this was watching Bad Bunny perform at the Super Bowl. I have loved the Seahawks since I was a kid and loved seeing them win, but I l was intrigued by Bad Bunny’s performance even more. Even if you do not understand the words he is singing, there is something unmistakable about the energy he carries. The essence of who he is shines through the energy that surrounds him, projecting outward in a way that feels magnetic and electric. You can feel the confidence, authenticity, and strength of his presence even through a screen. That magnetism is not only about performance or talent, and it is not something he switches on only when he is on stage. It reflects something deeper about who he is and how fully he inhabits his own energy. This is what a strong, radiant body looks like, when a person’s inner essence shines through so clearly that others naturally feel it and that presence becomes extremely magnetic.

I am not suggesting that Bad Bunny is necessarily practicing yoga in a visible way or thinking about the radiant body in yogic terms, yet it is a powerful example of the same principle. I imagine he has his own way of connecting and creating union with the essence of who he is through the sound he creates, the rhythm of his breath, and the way he moves his body with the music. When someone is that connected to their own expression, something very real shines through them. The radiant body reflects the frequency of our purest and most natural inner radiance, and when that essence is expressed clearly, the energy a person projects becomes naturally magnetic, and people feel it immediately.

The Radiant Body Is Something We All Carry

The radiant body is not something reserved for performers or public figures. Every person has this capacity because it comes from the deeper layers of who we are. Through practices that combine movement, breath, our own sound, and meditation, the mind becomes clearer, the body becomes more grounded, and the nervous system develops greater steadiness. As that inner clarity grows, the energy we project outward becomes naturally stronger and more coherent.

This is one of the reasons I continue to return to practices of breath, movement, and meditation. Over time, they help quiet the mind, stabilize the body, and strengthen the radiant body so the essence of who we are can shine through more clearly.

And perhaps that is what we are really sensing in those rare moments when someone walks into a room, and their presence is immediately felt. It is not simply confidence or charisma, but the quiet strength of a radiant body, when a person’s energy speaks clearly before their words ever do.

With love,
